About Us
About Us
Bialle Shtiebel is a close-knit, family-oriented community in Ramat Beit Shemesh, guided by our dedicated Rov, Rabbi Karmi Gross. For over a decade, our shul has been a vibrant center for Torah, tefillah, and community life, now welcoming over 120 attendees each Shabbos. We pride ourselves on our commitment to a healthy balance of Torah learning, military service, and active community engagement, reflecting our deep-rooted values.
Our Mission and Vision
At Bialle Shtiebel , we strive to create a warm and inclusive environment where every member feels at home. Our shul is more than just a place to daven; it is a community where families grow together, supporting one another in all aspects of life. We believe in the importance of maintaining a harmonious balance between spiritual growth and communal responsibility, and we work tirelessly to ensure that our shul remains a place where Torah learning and community service go hand in hand.
About Our Rov
Rabbi Karmi Gross, our esteemed Rov, brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to our community. Born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida, Rabbi Gross holds dual Masters Degrees in Education—one in moral philosophy from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, and another in Talmudic texts from IT Research Institute, where he also earned his Rabbinic Ordination. As the founder and Rosh Yeshivah of Beis Midrash Derech Chaim, Israel’s first Chareidi Hesder Yeshiva, Rabbi Gross has been at the forefront of Jewish education for over 40 years. His deep commitment to Torah, combined with his extensive experience as an educator and leader, has been a guiding force for our community.
Community and Activities
Bialle Shtiebel is known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is encouraged to get involved. Whether through our daily minyanim, shiurim, or community events, we strive to create opportunities for connection and growth. Our shul is especially committed to celebrating together, with active participation in simchot and events that bring us closer as a community.
Our History
Established over ten years ago, Bialle Shtiebel l began in a modest basement, where it quickly grew into a beloved gathering place for local families. In 2024, we took a significant step forward, moving into our current purpose-built building. Although we continue to daven in the basement, we eagerly anticipate the day when we will move upstairs to our main shul, reflecting our growth and commitment to the future.
Involvement Opportunities
We are always open to new initiatives, learning programs, and social events that enhance our community life. New members are encouraged to get involved, whether through volunteering, attending shiurim, or simply sharing ideas with the vaad. At Bialle Shtiebel , your voice and contributions are valued, and we welcome your participation in our ever-growing community.
A Welcoming Environment
Bialle Shtiebel is a place where everyone is welcome, especially new olim. Our community is enriched by the diversity of its members, and we take pride in being a welcoming and supportive environment for all who join us. Whether you’re a long-time resident or new to the area, you’ll find a warm embrace and a place to call home at Bialle Shtiebel .
